And will conclude with what is hands down the most disappointing issue surrounding last nightвЂ™s finale. Look, we appreciate that having our titular heroine end up with вЂњAbercrombieвЂќ Jones was important in illustrating that Lux finally got the opportunity to score (in more ways than one!) the quintessential high school experience, but was it really necessary to do so at poor TashaвЂ™s expense? Which brings us to the biggest shocker of the evening, Cate and Baze got their happily ever afterвЂ¦ whodathunkit! Certainly not us, seeing as though we stopped rooting for them as a couple after creator Liz Tigelaar made it quite clear that LIFE UNEXPECTED wasnвЂ™t about the two of them getting together, but rather celebrating a different kind of familyвЂ¦ but we digress. And speaking of Tasha, why exactly is she still best friends with Lux? First Lux plays somewhat of an integral role in sending her back to Juvie, only to then go ahead and steal her boyfriend. THE BAD: Valedictorian, really? Now donвЂ™t get us wrong, as thrilled as we were to see Lux successfully overcome her learning disability we canвЂ™t help but think that it would have been more than enough of a victory for Lux to have simply graduated high school and attend college with her best friend Tasha. Particularly ones that involve Cate and BazeвЂ™s tearful reaction to Lux graduating high school, Lux finally calling Cate and Baze вЂњMomвЂќ and вЂњDad,вЂќ and a clever nod to the showвЂ™s original title that saw the writers slip вЂњLight YearsвЂќ into LuxвЂ™s Valedictorian speech.

THE GOOD: While not exactly how we would have liked to have seen the series end, we are unabashed suckers for flash forwards that wrap up storylines in a neat and tidy bow. So weвЂ™re just going to hope for more and if 13 ends up being our last one we will have some closure, it will feel good and the end, but it wonвЂ™t be the true end.Despite the fact that weвЂ™re hesitant to kick a good show when itвЂ™s down - or effectively canceled by the CW as the case may be - we do feel the need to get a few things off of our chest with regards to last nightвЂ™s LIFE UNEXPECTED series finale. Unfortunately, that is not going to to happen by episode 13, at least I donвЂ™t think in an artful way. In September, she said, вЂњObviously if you were doing the end of this story, what I feel the fans want are Cate and Baze together, so that would be a natural series end in someway. Tigelaar was skeptical about how fulfilling the end could be. During it, Baze considers buying a house and Lux plans a dinner with Eric. 40 bottles a day, 420 diapers a week and feedings every 3 hours became the new normal for Danielle & Adam when they welcomed home the only all-female set of quintuplets. Deadline is reporting that the writers are treating it like the series finale and will wrap up many of the ongoing storylines. This is part one of the two-part series finale. Meet the Busby Family, which includes mom Danielle, dad Adam, 4-year old daughter Blayke, and 5 baby girls. The season (likely series) finale will air in January.

She told the TV Addict back in September that she believed that, if they didnвЂ™t get an order for a full season, the show was finished. Series creator Liz Tigelaar thinks so too. While The CW has not officially cancelled Life Unexpected yet, itвЂ™s impossible to imagine that theyвЂ™d renew it for season three. Life Unexpected is the only series on the network thatвЂ™s been limited to 13 episodes this season.

This season, the showвЂ™s lost more than half of the demo audience, averaging just a 0.7 rating with 1.53 million viewers.ДЄs the networkвЂ™s lowest rated show, CW execs asked for a couple additional scripts but didnвЂ™t order them into production. Season one of Life Unexpected averaged 2.0 million viewers and a 1.6 rating in the networkвЂ™s target demographic of women 18-34. They hoped that the audience would grow this season but it certainly hasnвЂ™t. After a season of lackluster ratings, The CW took a chance last May and renewed Life Unexpected for year two.
